Once upon a time there was a dazzling little island, an emerald drop of paradise wrapped in soft white sands, surrounded by vibrant coral reef, lapped by warm turquoise waters and hidden in the heart of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Baa Atoll region of the Maldives, Milaidhoo is that island.

In November, 2016 – this charming little island opened its doors to guests, launching the highly-anticipated first-rate Milaidhoo Island Maldives Resort, making waves as one of the most luxurious resort openings of the year.

This boutique resort promises its guests a new chapter of barefoot luxury on its intimate island. It differentiates itself from the herd with its ‘Milaidhoo Moments’, a collection of exclusive activities for the luxury traveler seeking meaningful and memorable experiences.

Standing on stilts over the lagoon are 30 spacious over-water villas along with 20 serene beachfront villas hidden amongst tropical gardens. Each villa comes with a large private freshwater swimming pool and an island host to attend to our guests’ every whim.

Milaidhoo Island Maldives is reached by a 30-minute scenic seaplane flight from the international airport.

Spacious and filled with light, outdoor living is what we do best: each villa opens up 180-degrees to allow the natural beauty of the Maldives inside. All Villas offer a large private freshwater pool on the sun deck, a hanging Maldivian swing (‘undhoali’), an outsize day bed, air conditioning and ceiling fan, spectacular ocean views, tea and coffee machine, oversized minibar, private wine fridge, flat screen satellite TV, ensuite bathroom with soaking tub, separate rain-shower and a full range of toiletries by Acqua Di Parma.

BA’THELI RESTAURANT & LOUNCE

The only restaurant in the world set on a boat in a lagoon featuring gourmet dishes of inspired island cuisine from the Maldivian Spice Route. At Ba’theli, the story continues as our chefs create dishes of finesse based on the epicurean delights using only the finest ingredients, blending herbs and spices to enhance natural flavours.

Guests may also dine at the ‘The Shoreline Grill’, ‘Ocean’, ‘Compass Pool Bar’, order Room Service or The Milaidhoo Gourmet Plan.

Watch dolphins play on the surface of the turquoise ocean or visit Hanifaru Bay where, in season manta rays and whale sharks bask in the shallow warm waters of this UNESCO world biosphere reserve.
